My dad, who
just passed away was with the 29th Infantry in Rhineland and Central
Europe. I did not see his name on your rosters. I'm just browsing
for more detailed information. We always told us that he was with Static
Liaison Staff #5. But I've never been able to find any information on them on
any web sites. Can you shed any light? Thanks,
Randy Weinert

Good
Afternoon, My name is Brad Larson and I am trying to locate a copy of the Stars
and Stripes publication that featured (supposedly) my Uncle, Rex Franklin
Gibson, HQ Co., 116th Reg. 29th Div. The article was about an Arizona
Cowboy fighting in Europe with the 29th
Division. Can you suggest where I might go to obtain a copy of the
article? Uncle Rex made the D-Day
landing on Omaha Beach, fought with the 29th until
wounded on July 12, 1944 and evacuated. Thank
you for your assistance, Brad Larson

Hi, my
uncle served with the 35th Div., and I know that they fought side by side in
the battle of St. Lo. He was KIA 13 July 1944 at Le Carillon, and buried at Le
Cambe cemetery in Plot L, Row 9, Grave 173. I know when all the Americans were
disinterred the cemetery was turned over to the Germans. I am looking for a map
of the cemetery when it still belonged to the Americans showing sections and
plot, row and grave numbers. I have tried every web site available including
the National Archives, and ABMC, which house the records of Graves Registration
and the Quartermaster to no avail. Would you have any of these records or know
of someone I can contact to get them. Thank you, Ralph P. Simeone

My father,
Thomas F. Fleming, served with the 29th. He was a sergeant in Company G 115th
Infantry Regiment. I attended the 50th anniversary with him in Normandy in 1994. He
passed away in 1997. He was captured shortly after D-Day and ended up in POW
Camp, I believe XIIA from an ID photo he took when he was liberated in 1945.

Regarding:
DRUMHELLER William K. 29th Infantry Division - 116th Regiment - 1st Battalion -
B Company
My wife and
I will be in Normandy on June 6 to pay tribute to my uncle William. I know he was in the second
assault wave. It is my understanding that he landed in DOG GREEN, but I’m not
100% sure. I know this is rather short
notice, but would like to get as close as possible to where he fell. Any help
would be appreciated. Regards, Dennis W. Drumheller

While
reading a book on the 29th Infantry division by Balkoski, I noticed he was in
possession of two unpublished books. Is there any way of getting "40 days
in France" and “The Bluff was booby trapped by Grossman” My Uncle
was in the 29th Division, 116th regiment and in company L. He was DOW
on July 13, 1944 near St. Lo. Thank You, Charles Puckett
